Uniqlo.

My other newest obsession: Uniqlo in SoHo at Broadway and Spring Street. This Japanese import features their personal brand of J+ jeans, which run between $19.99 and $39.99. They come in every color and fit of the rainbow, and the BEST part is... they hem them for free!!!

You try on your jeans in the dressing room, they give you jumbo safety pins to pin the cuff to your personalized length (the regular inseams are 33-34 inches for women's jeans), you pay and leave them at the checkout... then come back 24 hours later for your customized $20 jeans.

The denim is good quality. My only gripe is that the stitching could be a little less pronounced. It's pretty big, noticeable stitches in a tan thread on the blue-denim jeans. I like something a little more subtle. But for $20 skinny jeans that actually fit my CURVES and are the right length??? I'll deal with it.

I got a pair of darkest-blue tapered skinny jeans for $20 and black-black slim-fit straight legs for work for $40. Together, that's not even half the price of one pair of my previously-favorite Joe's Jeans.

Granted, I was only looking for skinnies and I didn't try on the bootcuts, flares or boyfriend jeans, but I'd go out on a limb and say that those rock, too. I'll be going back for more.

(They also have an entire store full of cotton basics from tanks to long-sleeves, basic dresses, cute skirts, scarves and oxfords).
