The Last Supper.

[Pizza and salad at La Crosta on 72nd before the storm started last night]

The wind and rain started up last night, with the worst of it supposed to be coming this morning between 8 a.m. and noon. So far... nada. It's definitely been raining since about 11 a.m. Saturday, but it seems like my neighborhood just isn't going to be hit that badly. We kept expecting to be woken up in the middle of the night, but we all slept right through.

Now we're up, watching the endless news and the idiot weather reporters out in the storm... waiting for something to happen. It's starting to look like it won't be that bad.

Friday's five things.

So, I still need to post my spring break breakdown... but I have not been at home on my computer for more than 53 seconds straight in the last 2 weeks. I picked up a third class (1.5 credits for 7 weeks) for the second part of this semester which started after break, and I am so freaking busy now!

For now, here are 5 fun things that will hopefully help me make it through the next couple weeks until summer!

1. Cole Haan Air Tali Rain Ballet flat in Sunflower Patent, $138 from Colehaan.com. These bright and cheery goodies will be so perfect for the spring showers when it is too hot to wear my Hunters. I can't afford them at full price, but you can bet I'm counting down until they go on sale... something to look forward to!

2. Snapfish photo books are 50% with the code 11BOOKSBD - just in time for me to make a beautiful new photo book of my trip!

3. NYU is hosting a gala tonight for all Masters, law, medical, MBA, etc. graduate students. With free drinks and hors d'oeuvres. And law students. I'm going with a few friends and need to head home after work to decide what to wear! (Possibly green silk dress... possibly black New Year's Eve dress... unsure.)

4. Reese's peanut butter eggs are officially on the shelves. These are my favorite part of every holiday. They have about 2 times the amount of peanut butter as a normal Reese's cup. And are my biggest weakness right now. (Pssst! Mom! These are the ones I'm talking about!)

5. I plan on finishing Jane Eyre this weekend (the book) so that I can complete the Goodreads Jane Eyre Challenge and see Jane Eyre (the movie) before April 15th.

TGIF, everyone!

Spring break.

So, the big trip has come and gone. I spent last week in Paris and Copenhagen, and it was amazing. It was also my first "grown up" vacation, the first that I've taken since I've been working full-time. Extra special.

I am working on some major vacay recaps... but I need to cull through my 350 photos first. Stay tuned.

Bummer.

I dropped and broke my camera on Sunday night. I have no idea if I'll be able to recover the photos still on the memory card, including those from my birthday weekend, Christmas in Minnesota, and New Year's Eve. For the time being, I'll be taking low-quality pics on my new Droid or stealing my friends' pics from facebook. Bummer, dude.

Thanksgiving weekend in pictures.

The fridge all packed with groceries, ready to start making Thanksgiving dinner!

The beautiful turkey all slathered with Martha Stewart's herb butter.

The goat cheese stuffed mushrooms all ready for the oven.

My busy little kitchen! Frying the sausage for the stuffing.

Dad doing his all-important job of keeping the kitties out of the kitchen.

A selection of photos from the Macy's Thanksgiving parade.

Santa!

My beautiful Thanksgiving dinner plate, all the essentials: rosemary roll from Agata & Valentina's, Minnesota wild rice, mashed potatoes, green bean casserole with red peppers, Martha Stewart's simple stuffing, lots of gravy, and our beautiful turkey right in the middle! Oh, and a beautiful cranberry champagne cocktail to start things off right!

The Rockettes @ Radio City Music Hall on Friday.

Brunch @ Bar Boulud: butternut squash soup.

Spinach quiche.

And a raspberry clafoutis to top things off!
