Oh hi, I live here.

My name is Andrea Jo, and I just moved to the Upper East Side of Manhattan. I'm 22, just started my Master's this month at NYU, and am currently interning at a major publishing house. I want to work in book publishing in editorial and acquisitions, oh, for the rest of my life. I love books, I love reading, and I love the city.

I'm from Minnesota originally, a good German Catholic girl, and naturally I love hearty food and the all-American sport known as ice hockey. I also play golf, Minnesota's favorite summer pastime. Summer to me is all about spending every spare second on the golf course or on a beautiful, clear blue lake pulling on an ice cold longneck.

I am at a transitional point in my life. I'm just developing my true sense of fashion, after the J.Crew and pearls days of college and the Birkenstocks of high school. I am rediscovering my Catholic faith, relearning what it all means to me in the context of my life today. I am getting in shape after the pizza and Ramen days of college, and learning how to run outside (it's hard in the New York winters!) without wanting to die.

The next few years will be really interesting for me, and I know there are a lot of young women out there, in New York and elsewhere, that are going through similar transitions. I promise to share sample sales, recipes, book reviews, and hopefully, my experiences as I grow and learn.

Oh, and I just adopted two little boy kittens, Hammie and Misko, so I'm bound to share a story every now and then about my new adventure into "parenthood."

Follow me. Read me. Love me.
