I like the Super Bowl.

As most of you know, unless you live under a rock, yesterday was Super Bowl Sunday. I had a great experience at The East End Tavern at E 83rd St. and 1st Ave. While the game was great and exciting and all, The East End Tavern was much more interesting to me... It's a very relaxed environment, like your average neighborhood sports bar, but what's really cool is that you can have your pizza delivered straight to the bar. From the pizza place across the street.

You see, The East End Tavern doesn't have a kitchen. They don't serve food. Therefore, you can bring your own sandwich and cupcakes from home for your late-night drinking snack, or you can order pizza from across the street and just tell them to bring it straight to the bar... Which is what I did last night with my friends from my Master's program.

Also, the pizza was delicious. I don't know the name of the place, but I desperately want their phone number now. The crust was thin and chewy and crispy on the edges. The fresh mozzarella had the most wonderful flavor. And there was just the perfect amount of slightly-sweet sauce. As soon as I find out the name of the place, I will share. But it's on the southeast corner of 83rd & 1st Ave. And the only pizza place in that block. So if you happen to be around there, get a pie.

Then bring it across the street with you to the East End Tavern.
